Ekobot signs a first customer agreement with a Swedish organic vegetable grower

Ekobot announces today that the company has signed an agreement with a Swedish customer in the organic vegetable growing segment. The agreement includes a robotic system for delivery to the 2023 growing season.

Ekobot has signed its first customer agreement with a Swedish organic grower. The agreement is strategically important as it is the company's first customer with an organic cultivation approach. The customer is one of Sweden's leading vegetable growers with approx. 100 ha of cultivation and an estimated need for approx. 10 robot units. The agreement is based on Ekobot's regular pricing per hectare and is governed by the cultivation area. The total scope of the agreement will be determined in connection with the cultivation season starting in 2023.

Erik Jonuks, Ekobot's CEO, comments on the agreement
– A contract with an organic grower is further proof that Ekobot has strong and reliable technology. Organic vegetable farming differs from conventional farming in that weed control is done almost exclusively with manual seasonal labor and completely without chemicals. This places particularly high demands on the reliability and efficiency of the robot system, which we managed to prove that we can meet during the 2022 growing season.
